Diageo eyes ‘real growth opportunity’ in no-ABV sector

After taking a controlling stake in non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ brand Seedlip, Diageo said it sees a “real growth opportunity” for the group and will continue investing in the alcohol-free category.  UK drinks giant Diageo increased its shareholding in booze-free Seedlip to a majority stake in August 2019. Brexit: UK distillers must ’embrace a brave new world’

Bacardi-owned Bombay Sapphire gin has moved into liqueurs with the launch of a gift pack containing four 50ml expressions. Each bottled at 20% ABV, the new Bombay Creations Gin Liqueurs pack contains four “trend-based” variants: Rose, Hibiscus, Strawberry and Raspberry. Glasgow Distillery unveils Prometheus 30 Years Old

The Glasgow Distillery Company has completed its Prometheus series with the launch of a 30-year-old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. With a limited edition run of 544 bottles, Prometheus 30 Years Old is a peated whisky that was matured in Sherry butts. Bottled at cask strength of 51.8% ABV without chill filtration, the whisky has been priced at RRP £1,250 (US$1,640) per 700ml bottle, and is available to buy online via the Glasgow Distillery website.…
