Nemiroff Vodka acquires Nemyriv distillery

Vodka brand Nemiroff won an auction to acquire the Nemyriv distillery in Ukraine for an undisclosed sum. The auction for the distillery’s purchase took place on 15 October. Nemyriv distillery was the first of around 80 sites to be privatised after almost 30 years of state monopoly for alcohol production in Ukraine. The acquisition means Nemiroff will be able to take control of the quality of ingredients, alcohol and final products produced at the facility.…

Scottish spirits firm William Grant & Sons has acquired a distillery in Mexico to support the growth of Milagro Tequila and drive innovation. The acquisition is part of William Grant & Sons’ “multi-million-pound investment plan to build its brands globally and upgrade its infrastructure to support the company’s growth ambitions”. Pernod enters vermouth category with St Petroni

French drinks group Pernod Ricard has moved into vermouth with the acquisition of a majority stake in St Petroni owner Vermutería de Galicia for an undisclosed sum. Created in 2014, St Petroni vermouth takes inspiration from nature and is made with Albariño grapes and 29 herbs and botanicals. US drinks firm Constellation Brands has acquired Kentucky-based brandy producer Copper & Kings for an undisclosed sum.
