Nearly half of consumers return to China’s bars

Since on-trade venues reopened across China following the coronavirus lockdown there has been an almost even split between consumers who have visited bars and those who have stayed away in four of the country’s most developed cities, according to CGA research. UK festive food and drink spend increases

Pubs, bars and restaurants across the UK increased sales by 2.5% over Christmas and New Year compared with the same period in 2018. BrewDog to open alcohol-free bar in London

Scottish brewer and distiller BrewDog will open its first booze-free bar in London next week, which will offer non-alcoholic ‘spirits’, beers and ciders. The new venue, called BrewDog AF Bar, will open on Monday (6 January) in London’s Old Street. Dead Rabbit to open New Orleans bar in 2020

New York bar The Dead Rabbit will open a sister site in New Orleans next year, the first venue to launch as part of a “wider expansion plan” across major US cities.
