Distell unveils eight limited edition single malts

Spirits producer Distell has released eight new limited edition Scotch whiskies, including two from Islay distillery Bunnahabhain and three from Tobermory. The eight single malts were bottled from Distell’s three Scotch whisky distilleries – Bunnahabhain, Deanston and Tobermory, the latter of which also produces Ledaig. Distell gives 10% of Scotch whisky sales to help on-trade

South African drinks group Distell is donating 10% of online sales from its Tobermory, Bunnahabhain and Deanston Scotch whisky distilleries to support hospitality workers across the country. The proceeds will be donated to Scottish drinks industry charity The Ben to help on-trade employees affected by covid-19. Bunnahabhain begins £10.5m upgrade

South African drinks group Distell has put the wheels in motion on a £10.5 million (US$13.97m) upgrade of Islay distillery Bunnahabhain. Plans for the upgrade were first revealed in 2017, with Derek Scott, brand director for malts at Distell, confessing that historically Bunnahabhain has been “under invested in”. Douglas Laing launches Chinese New Year whiskies

Independent Scotch whisky bottler Douglas Laing has released a trio of limited edition single cask expressions to celebrate Chinese New Year – the year of the pig. The three expressions include two Old Particular single cask bottlings – a 2007 Bunnahabhain and a 2007 Glengoyne – and a 1995 XOP Craigellachie, which has been matured in a single Sherry cask.
