Another hard seltzer hits the shelves as Jose Cuervo announces the launch of its new Playamar Tequila Hard Seltzer brand. Playamar Tequila Hard Seltzer comes out with two classic flavors of tequila-based cocktails: Lime, a bubbly take on the traditional margarita, and Grapefruit, a sparkling mimic of the Paloma. Playamar has a light tequila taste without the tequila bite, the company says. The new brand will roll out regionally, with plans to expand nationally in 2021. Nightclub & Bar Show Postponed Again

The Nightclub & Bar Show, which had been postponed until June, announced on April 15 it will push the date back again to the fall due to COVID-19. The Nightclub & Bar Conference & Exhibition is now scheduled to take place Oct. 19-21, 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event was originally scheduled for March 30-April 1. Houlihan’s Files For Bankruptcy, Will Sell To Landry’s

HRI Holding Corp., parent company of casual dining chain Houlihan’s, filed for filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Nov. 14 and accepted a stalking horse bid from Landry’s, the parent company of Joe’s Crab Shack, Rainforest Cafe and Morton’s steakhouses, among others.
