Beam Suntory has partnered with duty free operator Heinemann to offer two exclusive single cask Bowmore whiskies at airports in Frankfurt and Istanbul. The new limited edition single malt whiskies, Bowmore 1995 and Bowmore 1997, have matured in first-fill Bourbon hogshead casks in the distillery’s No.1 Vaults, the oldest Scotch maturation warehouse in the world. Japanese whisky and gin drive spirits sales in GTR

Total spirits volume in the global travel retail channel grew 2.5% last year, boosted by double-digit gains from Japanese whisky and gin, according to new IWSR figures. In 2018, spirits volume in the channel reached 24.5 million nine-litre cases, with a value of US$9.2 billion.
