Hennessy XO celebrates 150 years with £15,000 decanter

Cognac house Hennessy has partnered with architect Frank Gehry to create 150 limited edition XO decanters, priced at £15,000 (US$19,130), to mark the expression’s 150th anniversary. LVMH sales plummet in H1 due to Covid-19

The wine and spirits arm of LVMH saw profits plunge during the first half of 2020 due to the economic challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. Wine and spirits sales fell by 23% on an organic basis during the first half of 2020. Sales fell to €1,985 million (US$2,328m), down from €2,486m (US$2,916m) during the same period last year. Revenue growth for LVMH wine and spirits arm in H1

The wine and spirits arm of LVMH recorded organic revenue growth of 6% in the first half of 2019, bolstered by the “solid growth” of Hennessy Cognac. Total LVMH revenue hit €25.1 billion (US$27.9bn) over the period, an increase of 15% with “strong growth” in Asia, the US and Europe, particularly in France.
