Illva Saronno-owned liqueur brand Tia Maria has entered the ready-to-drink (RTD) category with the launch of a canned iced coffee. The “indulgent yet refreshing” Iced Coffee Frappé is made with 100% Arabica coffee, milk cream and coffee liqueur Tia Maria. Nitro technology means the 200ml can foams when opened. Illva Saronno CEO Augusto Reina dies

Augusto Reina, chief executive officer of Disaronno producer Illva Saronno, has died at the age of 79. A statement from Italian drinks group Illva Saronno said Reina died on Wednesday night (19 February) after his health had taken a turn for the worse over the last few months. Edrington Americas ends third-party TR contracts

Edrington’s travel retail business in the Americas will cease distribution of third-party spirits from Illva Saronno, Sazerac and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Disaronno rejoins Borco distribution portfolio

Family-owned spirits company Borco has agreed to distribute Italian liqueur brands Disaronno and Tia Maria in Germany. Borco will take over responsibility of the Illva Saronno-owned brands from 1 March. Disaronno had previously been part of the Borco portfolio from 2000 to 2010. Walsh Whiskey and Illva Saronno dissolve joint venture

Ireland’s Walsh Whiskey Distillery and Italian drinks group Illva Saronno have ended their joint venture with immediate effect following a dispute over the future direction of the business.
