Disaronno creates Velvet cream liqueur

Italian brand Disaronno has moved into cream liqueurs with the launch of a lower-ABV expression. Described as having a “smooth texture”, the new Disaronno Velvet is bottled at 17% ABV – lower than the brand’s flagship variant, which has an alcohol strength of 28% ABV. Dutch drinks firm De Kuyper and bartender Salvatore Calabrese have released “aromatic” liqueur brand Acqua Bianca in the UK through distributor Cellar Trends. Puerto Rican rum brand Bacardi has launched Coquito, a limited edition coconut cream liqueur. Available in the US, Bacardi Coquito is made using the brand’s signature white rum mixed with toasted spices, coconut cream, vanilla, and cinnamon.
