Marie Brizard registers 1.5% net sales drop

French drinks group Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits has reported a 1.5% organic net sales drop in the first nine months of 2019 and has gained approval to sell its Polish distribution arm, Sobieski Trade. The firm’s third quarter saw sales fall 0.6% to €98.9m (US$109.2m). Marie Brizard commercial plan threatens 51 jobs

French group Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits (MBWS) has proposed a plan to “redeploy” its sales force in France, which would result in the loss of 51 jobs. Marie Brizard reports Q1 sales increase of 0.2%

Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits (MBWS) has reported a slight increase in organic net sales for the first quarter of 2019. Net sales for the first quarter reached €81.6 million (US$91.4m) – an increase of 0.2%. The company’s ‘branded business’ grew net sales by 12.8% to €41.2m (US$46.1m). Authority raids French wine and spirits firms

France’s national competition regulator has raided a number of wine and spirits firms over “possible anti-competitive practices”. The Autorité de la Concurrence released a statement on 10 April stating it had inspected the sites of wine and spirits companies on 9 April, however it would not identify the firms. La Martiniquaise president to step into MBWS chairman role

The president of La Martiniquaise is set to be appointed chairman of fellow French firm Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits under the terms of an approved rescue plan, which will also include the divestment of two drinks brands.
