Diageo is set to launch the final bottling in its limited edition Game of Thrones Single Malt Collection, a 15-year-old Mortlach whisky. Mortlach 47yo raises S$50,000 for charity at auction

A bottle of the soon-to-be-released Mortlach 47 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky has raised S$50,000 (£28,083/ US$37,026) for charity after being sold at auction. Mortlach 47 Year Old is the first release from the Diageo-owned distillery’s Singing Still Series. Speyside distillery Mortlach has unveiled the first Scotch whisky from its new Singing Stills Series – a 47-year-old single malt, priced at £10,000 (US$13,295) per bottle. The Diageo-owned brand will release just 94 bottles of Mortlach 47-Year-Old, which was distilled and filled into three refill American oak hogsheads in April 1971. It has been bottled at 46.8% abv.
