Benriach unveils Cask Edition Collection 2021

Speyside distillery Benriach has revealed Cask Edition Collection 2021, comprising 19 single malts matured in 11 different cask types. Each expression has been created to celebrate different cask styles, and explores a ‘different facet’ of Benriach’s multi-layered, fruit forward’ profile. Featuring both peated and unpeated whiskies, each bottling was selected at its ‘optimum’ maturation point by Benriach master blender Rachel Barrie. Alcohol-free Spirited Euphoria offers endorphin effect

Racing driver Jean-Éric Vergne has co-founded a hemp-based, non-alcoholic ‘spirit’, described as a new endorphin-led alternative to alcohol. Lawyer and Formula E executive Alexander Jakobi and Vergne have formed the Endorphin Dealer Institute (Edi), which seeks to pioneer non-alcoholic, distilled, endorphin-led ‘spirits’. Teeling bottles 18YO Renaissance whiskey

Irish whiskey producer Teeling has extended its Renaissance series with an 18-year-old single malt finished in ex-Muscat wine casks. Launched in 2019, the Renaissance series was designed to celebrate the ‘true global renaissance’ of Teeling, Dublin and Irish whiskey. The series has so far included whiskeys finished in ex-Australian Shiraz wine casks and Madeira casks. Benriach debuts ‘smokiest’ single malt

Scotch whisky distillery Benriach has released its ‘most intensely smoked’ single malt to date, called Smoke Season.
