Hard seltzer sales soar 255% in US off-trade

Sales of hard seltzers in the US off-trade experienced triple-digit growth in the week ending 6 June, according to the latest Nielsen data. For the one-week period ending 6 June, spirits continued to grow well ahead of other alcohol categories with a 30.2% sales increase. US drinkers continue to buy RTDs and Tequila

Off-trade spirits sales in the US grew 35.8% in the 12 weeks to 23 May, led by the continued growth of Tequila, ready-to-drink cocktails and cordials, according to Nielsen. For the 12-week period between the 7 March and 23 May, total alcohol sales in the US off-trade rose 26.8%.
