Former rugby player Doddie Weir has bottled a 16-year-old Glenkinchie Scotch whisky to raise funds for research into a cure for motor neurone disease. Scotch whisky producer Ian Macleod Distillers has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with English rugby union team Cornish Pirates. The producer’s Edinburgh Gin and Glengoyne Highland single malt will become the official gin and whisky of the 74-year-old rugby club in Cornwall.
