Avallen Calvados secures £250,000 funding

Calvados brand Avallen has surpassed its £250,000 (US$316,000) fundraising target to support the next phase of the company’s growth. Healthy Hospo founder Tim Etherington-Judge and wine and spirits specialist Stephanie Jordan launched Calvados brand Avallen in April last year. Highland distillery Nc’nean is looking to raise £1 million (US$1.3m) through crowdfunding to help accelerate its growth. Salcombe Gin hits £800k funding target in 24 hours

English gin producer Salcombe Distilling Co has exceeded its crowdfunding target of £800,000 (US$1 million) in under 24 hours. The Devon-based gin maker launched the campaign on crowdfunding platform Seedrs, which has raised £870,535 (US$1.1m) from 206 investors to date.
