Templeton Rye unveils 2020 Barrel Strength whiskey

American producer Templeton Rye has launched the 2020 version of its Barrel Strength straight rye whiskey, the third limited edition release in the series. The Iowa distillery first released a Barrel Strength whiskey in 2018, followed by another expression in 2019. Distillery manager Lester Brown selected the barrels to be married together to create the 2020 release. The mash bill for this year’s whiskey comprises 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Templeton Rye heads to Australia

American whiskey producer Templeton Rye has expanded its global footprint after signing an exclusive distribution deal with Kollaras and Co in Australia. Iowa-based Templeton Rye’s move into the Australian market follows the opening of the Templeton Distillery in July 2018. The distillery features a 34,500-square-foot facility located on 20 acres of land in downtown Templeton. Part of a US$35 million project, the site also boasts a 55,000 sq ft maturation warehouse, visitor centre and museum.…
