USBG Foundation To Host Weekly Instagram Briefings On COVID-19 Relief Campaign

The USBG National Charity Foundation says it will hold weekly briefings to provide updates on its Bartender Emergency Assistance Program (BEAP) COVID-19 Relief Campaign. The Foundation’s board member and director, mixologist Kim Haasarud, will host the updates on Thursdays at 3 p.m. Eastern/12 noon Pacific.

Each briefing will address such topics as updated
statistics; total applicants to date; total applications processed; total
dollars disseminated; total donors to date; total funds committed; and total
volunteers screening applications.

The updates, which will also address frequently asked questions; resources and next steps, will not include a real-time Q&A session. But the USBG National Charity Foundation will post an Instagram story on Wednesdays prompting users to pose questions they would like Haasarud to address during the Thursday update.

Created by the USBG National Charity Foundation in 2015,
the BEAP assists qualified bartenders, bar backs and bar servers who need
financial assistance as a result of a catastrophic event or an emergency
hardship. The BEAP’s COVID-19 Relief Campaign provides modest emergency grants
of $150 to $500. The grants, drawn from donations, are meant to supplement
federal relief programs designed to help with larger, sustained expenses.

Bartenders can follow updates through USBG National Charity Foundation social media channels: IG/FB/TWITTER: @USBGNCF, or visit the USBG National Charity Foundation’s site for more on COVID-19 Relief Campaign.
