Champagne Pommery has announced the champagne house’s newest release: Apanage Blanc de Blancs.
Champagne Pommery Apanage Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% chardonnay grapes from the northern terrain of the Montagne de Reims and the hills of Nogent l’Abbesse. The combination of these terrains allows this cuvée to express a freshness and a maturity worthy of an Apanage, the company says.
This new release has a spring freshness on the nose with subtle floral notes of jasmine as well as acacia, linden and citrus fruit, the company says. The initial taste allows the fresh apple to take over with the balance of the final notes being the subtle flavor of yellow grapefruit.
The suggested retail price for Champagne Pommery Apanage Blanc de Blancs is $67 per 750-ml. bottle.
