Swiss Resort Beau-Rivage Palace Unveils Holiday Bubble Bar

The renowned Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Switzerland, has created a new holiday “Bubble Bar by Ruinart,” the oldest Champagne house in the world. The pop-up bar sits within a Perspex “tube” and appears to be transparent. From Nov. 15 through Feb. 24, guests can enjoy Champagne accompanied by a specially curated menu highlighting smoked salmon and caviar served with the apple dessert Pommes Charlotte.

The Bubble Bar by Ruinart is part of the resort’s now annual “Art of Joy” celebration, which encourages guests to put the magic back into daily life by connecting to time-honored holiday traditions. In addition to the Bubble Bar by Ruinart, Art of Joy activities include Christmas Cocktail Classes in which guests can join the Beau-Rivage Palace bar team to learn the art of mixology through two winter cocktails: the Winter Negroni and the Merry Martini; and Wine Cellar and Vineyard Tours.

Lausanne has recently been named the newest member of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network and borders the UNESCO protected Lavaux wine region. With over 75,000 bottles of wine in its cellars, guests can join the hotel’s head sommelier, Thibaut Panas, for a guided tasting. Guests can also book private transfers to the nearby Lavaux region.
