MGP Chapter One: Out of the Shadows is a 10 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced using a mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley. The spirit was matured in American oak barrels which were aged in Rickhouse G, one of the distillery’s most celebrated warehouses. It is bottled at 55.5% ABV.
The inaugural namesake release delivers specific sensory characteristics. On the nose, notes include butterscotch, burnt sugar, molasses and cherry. The palate follows with notes of cherry cola, raspberries, chocolate, sassafras and leather.
