The Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Peated is a limited edition run of 550 bottles, priced at £69. It will be available from 10am on Friday, September 18 through the distillery website and selected UK whisky retailers. Customers are limited to one bottle each. The spirit is bottled at 54 per cent ABV with natural colour and non-chill filtration.
This release marks a decade since the distillery began producing peated spirit in 2016. Sebastian Bunford-Jones, head of sales and marketing at Glasgow Distillery, noted that when production began, this whisky was literally at the beginning of that journey. Ten years later, peated whisky is now an important part of annual production, accounting for around five months of output annually.

The whisky has been matured in three ex-bourbon casks – two refill and one first-fill. The use of only ex-bourbon casks was intended to highlight the character of the peated spirit and its decade of maturation. Tasting notes include delicate bonfire smoke, honeyed sweetness, tropical fruit and citrus, alongside a gentle waxy texture and lingering oak spice.
