The Tröegs brewing team spent months testing flavors, ingredients and distilling processes before a series of team tasting trials. “These tasting sessions bring our teams together to taste, talk, and fine-tune every detail, from distillation processes to the botanicals that help shape each batch,” said Tröegs co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner.
One of Central Pennsylvania’s most well-known brewers is venturing into a new category with these releases. The spirits are available at the brewery tasting room alongside cocktails including Blueberry Bramble, Botanical Martini, Gilded Manhattan, and Negroni.

Tröegs describes the gin as a “contemporary twist on an age-old classic” with a juniper-forward profile and dry piney character inspired by Sunshine Pilsner. The deep amber colored orange amaro liqueur boasts a bouquet of bright citrus balanced with complex herbal aromatics and pithy orange peel, according to the company.
Orange Amaro is meant to mimic Perpetual IPA with big, bracing bitterness and a huge blast of citrus. Our gin plays on the delicate and refreshing character of Sunshine Pilsner, Trogner said.
