Wednesday, Oct. 7 offers options for watching the playoffs at Broken Bat Brewery (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.), which is offering $12 pitchers and $4 mug club pours during every Milwaukee Brewers playoff game. First pitch of tonight’s NLDS game is late – 9 p.m. Sanford (1547 N. Jackson St.) brings class to the traditional beer dinner with a five-course Belgian beer dinner beginning with a reception at 6 p.m. The event costs $185, and reservations are made by calling 414-276-9608.
Thursday, Oct. 8 features Zoo Brew returning to the Milwaukee County Zoo (10005 W. Bluemound Rd.) with plenty of area breweries and food vendors. Tickets start at $60. Saz’s/Eagle Park Brewing beer dinner is available at South Second (838 S. Second St.), where the decadent five-course dinner starts at 6 p.m. and includes six Eagle Park beers for tickets priced at $105.
Friday, Oct. 9 sees Our Lady of Lourdes (3722 S. 58th St.) going big with its three-day Oktoberfest celebration. The hours are 4 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. There will be a beer garden, live music, cake walks and, on Saturday and Sunday, an artisan fair. Lion’s Tail Brewing (8520 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa) is releasing Mo’ Juice, a hazy IPA that hasn’t been brewed since 2022.
Saturday, Oct. 10 brings the annual Limb Shaker Day to both Gathering Place Brewing locations (811 E. Vienna Ave. and 7208 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa) from noon to 10 p.m. The guest of honor is Limb Shaker, a Belgian-style tripel made with Door County cherries. Previous vintages will also be on tap. The Brookfield location of Vennture Brew Co. (2790 N. Brookfield Rd.) is throwing an Ok Toberfest party to celebrate all things German.
Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood) celebrates 12 years of business with an all-day party. They’ll be pouring some special beers and offering up free food from 5 to 7 p.m. Torzala Brewing is pouring beer at the two-day Oktoberfest at the Bayside Beer Garden in Ellsworth Park (600 E. Ellsworth Ln.). Hours are 1 to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. It’s Faktoberfest at Faklandia Brewing (3807 S. Packard Ave., Cudahy), where they’ll have German food to pair with the release of their Faktoberfest Oktoberfest beer.
Sunday, Oct. 11 features The Handcrafted Fest of Ale happening at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be vendors, live music, gluten-free curds and beer, and more. Half Acre Brewing and Central Waters Brewing are both headed to Station No. 06 (6800 W. Becher St., West Allis) for the Cheesy Chicago Dog Beer Battle, which starts at 11 a.m. and coincides with a little football matchup between the Packers and Bears.
