Crowds gathered in downtown Batavia on Saturday for the annual FeBREWary Beer Walk, a self-guided tour of local breweries and bars that offered samples of craft beers. The event was organized by the Downtown Business Association (DBA) to promote local businesses and raise funds for community projects.
The DBA reported that over 1,000 people attended the event, which featured nine participating locations offering beer tastings and live music. Attendees were given a map with a list of participating breweries and bars, as well as a wristband that allowed them to sample beers at each location.
According to the DBA, the event was successful in attracting new customers to downtown Batavia businesses and generating revenue for local merchants. The association also reported that attendees showed enthusiasm for the variety of craft beers offered by local breweries.
