Mrs. Bob’s co-owner Josh Cole admits it sounds like a far-out fantasy: Open an ice cream shop in a legendary ice cream shop on Cape Cod, but make it a combo wine bar/icecream cafe. “But those don’t usually exist, right?” he says.
Except that’s exactly what Cole and his partner Dominga Ruiz-de Jesús did in late October 2025, on MA-6A not far from the Sagamore Bridge. What was once the Ice Cream Sandwich is now Mr. Bob’s Cape Cod – a cozy space with a retro feel.

He’s held various management roles at area spots past and present, including Craigie on Main, Puritan & Co., Island Creek Oysters (where he met Ruiz-de Jesús), Olmstead Wine, a Boston-based natural wine distributor.
