The vodka market is known for its competitive landscape, but recent developments surrounding SKTL Vodka, launched by Rebekah Vardy and Dennis Wise, have exposed a significant operational breakdown. What began as a high-profile venture – Vardy, 43, aiming to establish a recognizable brand alongside former footballer Dennis Wise, 58 – has devolved into a protracted crisis of delayed deliveries and unresponsive customer service.
Orders placed in October are still awaiting delivery, with some customers reporting waits exceeding six months. The situation has become particularly acute due to a complete lack of communication from SKTL. Initial attempts to resolve queries via the company’s email address have repeatedly been met with silence. One frustrated customer stated that it took two months simply to determine that the brand wouldn’t fulfill orders.
The brand’s launch, last December, generated considerable attention. However, this initial buzz hasn’t translated into a smooth operational experience. The delays and unanswered questions are raising serious concerns about the viability of SKTL.
Adding to the complexity, Rebekah Vardy has temporarily suspended work on the brand. This decision follows her husband, Jamie Vardy’s, move to Italy with the family this summer. While prioritizing her family’s adjustment to a new life in Italy, the timing of this pause has further amplified the frustrations felt by those impacted by the SKTL delays.
At the time of publication, SKTL has not issued a public statement addressing the mounting concerns. The brand’s future hangs in the balance, dependent on its ability to quickly resolve these systemic issues and regain the trust of its customer base.
