This year’s Flavour in Motion celebrated 140 years of Franklin & Sons, challenging entrants to bring together influences from 1886 to 2026. Ten finalists presented their cocktails at the final.
Titled Corr, Blimey, the cocktail blended Franklin & Sons Orchard Apple & Pear soft drink with Lapsang Souchong and peated whisky to recreate the smoky character of a campfire. The creation was garnished with a toasted marshmallow. Ford created an apple and pear sherbet using the skins of the fruits, as well as sous-vide caramel fat-washing rum.
