Overview: Independent tequila producer Cazcabel has secured a double listing for its honey-and coffee-flavoured liqueurs in 250 Asda stores across the UK. The two liqueurs will be available in Asda from 21 September, retailing for £25 (US$33).
The Full Story
Chris Richards, managing director at Cazcabel, noted the liqueurs are approachable for new Tequila drinkers. He stated it is great to have them available in Asda so people can enjoy a proper Hot Honey Margarita, an Iced Coffee or a Baby Guinness at home, as well as in bars across the UK.
Earlier this year, Cazcabel reshuffled its distribution in Portugal, naming Viriathus Drinks as its new distribution partner. The brand is positioned to expand its presence through these retail partnerships and strategic distribution changes.
Production & Profile
Both liqueurs are crafted with Cazcabel’s 100% Blue Weber agave blanco Tequila, made in Jalisco, Mexico. The liqueurs are bottled at 35% ABV. The signature serves include the Hot Honey Margarita, which pairs the Tequila liqueur with lime juice, apple juice, agave syrup, and Tabasco, suggested served in a rocks glass.
Coffee’s hero serve is Cazcabel Iced Coffee Highball, which blends the liqueur with cold brew or espresso and tops it with milk. It also works well in a Baby Guinness, which is coffee served in a small liqueur glass and topped with cream liqueur.
What This Means
Managing director Chris Richards noted the liqueurs are approachable for new Tequila drinkers, positioning them as an entry point for the spirit. The release aims to allow consumers to enjoy cocktails like a Hot Honey Margarita or an Iced Coffee at home, as well as in bars across the UK.
