Overview: Award-winning Australian gin brand Four Pillars Gin has launched a new masterbrand creative platform titled ‘Expect Different’ in Sydney on October 1, 2026. The initiative, developed by independent creative agency Weave, aims to reinforce the brand’s position as one of the country’s most distinctive premium spirits brands through a national rollout.
The Full Story
Rolling out nationally from October across out-of-home, social and digital channels, the campaign is designed to build the Four Pillars brand beyond individual products while reinforcing creativity, craftsmanship and innovation. The hero 15-second film utilizes traditional production methods including physical sets and in-camera transitions to contrast with AI-generated content. Dan Cookson, Executive Creative Director at Weave, noted that the approach was about bringing the ethos to life by turning an everyday occasion into something more playful and visually interesting.
Supporting out-of-home creative builds on the films using stagehands and bold product imagery across portrait, ultra-wide and transit formats, including Sydney light rail wraps. The campaign elements comprise 15-second and six-second motion assets across YouTube and Meta alongside a comprehensive national out-of-home rollout running through to February 2027.
What This Means
Amanda Bronesky, Marketing Manager, Spirits at Lion, stated the new platform represents an important evolution in how Four Pillars communicates with consumers. Until now much of communications have centred on individual products, but ‘Expect Different’ gives a long-term masterbrand platform that expresses everything Four Pillars stands for. This allows the brand to celebrate its distinctive personality in a way that is memorable, scalable and unmistakably Four Pillars while delivering genuine quality.
Consumer Takeaway
The campaign offers consumers a sense of quirky luxury reflecting the role a carefully crafted gin can play in making the everyday feel more special. National out-of-home rollout across social and digital channels runs through February 2027, ensuring continued visibility for the brand’s evolution in consumer communication.
