Overview: Starting this month, Odell Brewing Co. allows guests to consume handcrafted beer and wine simultaneously indoors at all taproom locations. This policy shift marks a significant expansion of the beverage experience available to visitors across the company’s footprint.
The Full Story
Previously, indoor consumption was restricted by manufacturing licenses that limited sales to beer produced on-site. The newly implemented brewpublicense permits the sale of wine from The OBC Wine Project alongside Odell beer inside the winery building and taprooms. In Fort Collins, guests can now combine beer, wine, and cider on a single guest check.
Denver locations including Five Points Brewhouse and Sloan’s Lake Brewhouse will add wines, ciders, and spritzes to their menus for the first time. Bella De La Torre, Director of Taprooms at Odell Brewing, noted that for 36 years the company has been committed to being a gathering place for communities.
The change aims to make gatherings comfortable and celebratory for everyone, whether guests prefer hoppy IPAs, handcrafted brews, wine selections, or non-alcoholic options. Beyond expanded beverage access, Odell Brewing continues to innovate in other ways. Sloan’s Lake’s handcrafted dough is featured in pretzels and stromboli that are now available at Five Points and Fort Collins.
Brand & Industry History
Founded in 1989 by Doug Odell, his wife Wynne, and his sister Corkie, Odell Brewing is an independent, employee-owned craft brewery. With locations in Fort Collins and Denver, the company creates quality, handcrafted beers and non-alcoholic beverages. The OBC Wine Project opened in 2020 and handcrafts award-winning wines at its Fort Collins winery.
