Gig Harbor Wine Company is moving to a former commercial building on Harborview Drive, marking the latest development in the city’s downtown waterfront area. Co-owners Robin and Ben Egeland opened the winery in March 2024 at 6745 Kimball Dr., Suite E, offering tasting flights, wine by the glass and bottle, local beer and a selection of small bites. In a phone call Tuesday, Robin Egeland confirmed plans to relocate to a small building at 3202 Harborview Dr.
The new tasting room will occupy what she called a “small office space type” building on the property next to gather Gig Harbor, set back by a driveway off of Harborview Drive and formerly occupied by RcMEDIA Photography. The building is vacant now and shares a parking lot with a financial services building under the same owner. According to Robin, who grew up in Gig Harbor, downtown “was always kind of the dream location.” When the spot opened up, they jumped on it as soon as they could.

The winery offers a selection of red and white wines from Walla Walla winemaker Aryn Morell. Her favorite among their wines is the 2023 Sturdy Gertie, a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of red currant, plum puree, spring flowers and loamy minerals.
