Walker relocated from the United States to Marton in January 2025 following a meeting at the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival in Colorado. The establishment represents a collaboration between Papaiti Gin and Good Bones Vodka on Drews Ave. Founders Adrian Rumney, Nikki Oesterle, and Vaughan Campbell onboarded Walker immediately after opening the bar.
